		<description>Yep, the Sun/Amazon partnership is very interesting.  It&#039;s Solaris now, but I wouldn&#039;t be surprised to see a tighter mySQL + SimpleDB or S3 integration in the future.   It&#039;s a great move by Sun, in my opinion.</description>

		<description>What is interesting is that Sun is working closely with Amazon through their new initiative to deploy Open Solaris in the Amazon Compute Cloud. The model that Sun has been following in their own utility computing service is closer to the mainframe model... Amazon is creating an entirely web services controlled cloud model. Amazon has the competitive edge on development time right now and it may be in the interest of the other companies you mentioned to consider partnerships. I am sure there are things each company can learn from the other -- collaboration is not unknown in the technology industry.</description>
